The American Taxpayers have once again been placed in a most precarious financial position by their highly esteemed government officials. The great and massive financial bailout bill in the amount of $700 billion dollars has now been approved by the Congress of the United States of America, which in turn has screwed over the hard working American Taxpayers and several generations of taxpayers thereafter. It appears that the Congress of the United State does not really represent the average American Taxpayers and do not appear to be able to pass constructive legislation without reacting to a “Crisis” situation. The Treasury Secretary said that he didn’t wait for the final approval by Congress to correct the financial “Crisis”, but instead started lining up outside advisers as his staff worked out the details on a multiple of complex issues. The Treasury Secretary indicated that he was doing a lot of thinking to get ready for this $700 billion dollar financial “Crisis” so that the United States Treasury could buy the bad debts from banks, savings and loans, credit unions and insurance companies. Why isn’t the Treasury Secretary and the United States Congress held responsible for not thinking and not being properly prepared before this financial “Crisis” struck the hearts, the minds and the bank accounts of our hard working average American Taxpayers? The great American Taxpayers are not knowledgeable about the United States economic conditions, because they are preoccupied with working one or more jobs, maintaining their home, raising their children, saving for retirement, etc. Most American Taxpayers that I know, obey the law, work hard to make a decent living, pay taxes and participate in the democratice process by electing individual candidates at the State and Federal levels who will represent their personal goals, dreams and aspirations. It appears that our State and Federal elected officials are not accountable to the Ameican Taxpayers and do not have a worry in the world. The American Taxpayers provide our elected officials with all of the benefits and amenities so they may live the good life, with large salaries, with expense accounts, with comprehensive life/health/disability insurance, with pension programs/Social Security/401ks/IRAs, etc. God bless the generous, the kind and the hard working American Taxpayers. Get ready for the next “Crisis!”
